Buenos Aires, March 11 (NA) – The birth of JOY, a new Argentine airline, has been announced, aimed at strengthening regional connectivity with a proposal for premium domestic flights, a federal route network, and a travel experience focused on greater comfort and service quality. The company is driven by a group of entrepreneurs with experience in the aviation sector and mostly national capital, in a context of the local market where connectivity between regions of the country is one of the main demands of air transport. According to a press release accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the company seeks to reconnect different points in the country through a modern and efficient regional air network, with a concept of federal routes and a proposal centered on improving the passenger experience. To start operations, JOY will have two Bombardier CRJ-200 LR aircraft with a capacity of 50 passengers. The planes have a two-seat cabin configuration per side, without a middle seat, which provides more personal space, less cabin noise, and more comfort. The company plans to offer personalized attention and a high-quality onboard service, as well as faster boarding and disembarking processes for passengers. Regarding destinations, the company has already signed an agreement with the Government of Jujuy, which will become the first operational point once the company obtains the corresponding approval from the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC). In a first stage, the initial network includes connections from Buenos Aires to San Luis, Villa Mercedes, and Merlo, as well as regional links between cities in the interior such as Córdoba, Iguazú, and Bariloche. The company indicated that once the regulatory process is completed, the start-up calendar will be announced. JOY is presented as an alternative aimed at combining service efficiency, commercial flexibility, and a long-term vision focused on the development of regional connectivity in Argentina.
